This being the 12th day of the 12 days of Christmas?? and my last post for the year I decided to share some of the lessons I learnt in 2017.
2017 was the year of unlearning. This was my first lesson learn to unlearn and relearn most of what I “know”. To become who you need to be sometimes you have to first become undone, unraveled to your core and figure out who you truly are.
I am using this period between Christmas and New Year to relax, review the year that 2017 has been and think about my 2018 resolutions. Yes, I still write resolutions (see here) because I believe in manifestation of your own dreams and that what you confess you possess. Habakkuk 2:2
Ever had that one outfit that you feel needs an audience? This dress is it for me. It calls for attention with every step I make…the fringe sways and announces my presence ??.
Merry Christmas Lovelies!?
I know its a day to make merry so I will keep it short and sweet literally!??
Remember the Christmas breakfast tradition I talked about in yesterday’s post? Here’s one of my favorite pancake recipes! I’ll just leave it here for you in case you want to wow your family and loved ones this season!
With Love , R.
Posting during the festive season is so tricky but we try. How is your Christmas Eve coming along? I have just bought the ingredients for a chocolate cake am baking for tomorrow as well as pancakes for tomorrow a breakfast tradition I have successfully followed the past couple of years!
I will try and put up a post of the recipe just in case you want to make some pancakes for your family this season.
Guess who’s back…I hope you are enjoying yourselves this holiday season.Let’s get back to our 12days of Christmas shall we?
If you are a regular at this blog then you already know the trend that stole my heart this year.I have had mad love for the off-shoulder detail. My shoulders have had a major moment this year and I am still basking at its goodness. It is quite accommodating irregardless of your age or size you get to show some skin without feeling too exposed. I also really bought into the choker trend in its simplicity and retro vibe.
I wish the embroidery extended a little to the front but hey thrifters are not choosers…oh but the joys of thrifting can you imagine I bought this shirt for ksh60?
I saw it,heard the price and quickly started scanning for stains, tears, a missing sleeve or something because how? But it was in perfect shape no missing buttons, all the sleeves were intact and it had this beautiful embroidery detail at the back and I was sold!
Welcome to day 5 of 12 days of Christmas!
Its Face time! Long post alert!
I know I have been quite vocal about my struggle with acne on here.It can be quite demoralizing to have great skin one second and a zit storm the next and the blackheads that follow leave me wishing I could peel my face off! I have tried so many products that have only left a dent in my wallet and no lasting effects on my skin. I always wanted to have a daily skincare regimen such as this (10 step Korean skin-care regimen recommended by a friend) but I was skeptical about the array of products I’d have to use on my skin. So, I settled for a simple skin-care regimen that consisted of products I had used, liked and had positive effects on my skin most of which are Nivea products. (Completely unrelated with the products am talking about today but If you are like me and acne is like a monkey on your back then consider trying the Nivea range of products they are quite gentle on acne-prone skin)
1.What is your favorite Christmas movie?
Home Alone! It brings me so many childhood memories.
- Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Whenever I get them if it’s Christmas Eve or on Christmas day I will open it right then and there!
I have really loved the ruffle detailing at the hemline this year (see this) it adds such a fun flare to any outfit and instantly makes the skirt or dress as in this case much more outstanding. I feel oh so sexy in this number the vertical stripes make me look lean and taller and like I’ve got legs for days.I have been skeptical about wearing drop waistline dresses especially if its form fitting so to be honest the vertical stripes really helped in making it easier.
