Borrowed from the Boys – tie choker!

May 16, 2017

Hey loves,

I hadn’t tried putting a formal spin on drawstring pants before and though the fabric of this is a bit of both worlds it’s easier to pull of because it’s a perfect blend of lounge and formal. I fell in love with this particular pair because of the white stripes and the light fabric that screams comfort and simplicity. Continue Reading

Looks like a shirt but acts as a dress – current hero piece in my closet- the shirt dress! Somewhere between hectic scorching days and relaxing evenings, between fashion crushes and can’t be bothered moods they’ve got you. They have this street-chic vibe going on, and there’s also something really sexy about them just keep the fabric light to maintain movement and have fun with your accessories! Its a lot like a pair of jeans-simple enough that your accessories can really create the look. The Shirt Dress

Shirt dress

I don’t know why but I have been feeling pretty out of it lately maybe its the holiday effect or the nearing of the New Year and me crushing beneath the weight of my own expectations. Anyway,am postponing the pity party to a later date and instead focusing on how amazing Christmas was, I baked by the way after almost ten years!! I was feeling all Christmas-y  and went for something fancy “chocolate crepe cake” Martha Stewart would have been proud! Continue Reading

Grey and Bright

December 2, 2016

Happy new month lovelies!

Is it just me or does December make you want to break into a little dance.I have always wanted a pair of boyfriend jeans but I never found any that quite met my preferences. I wanted something slouchy, lose fitted and distressed to no avail till now and I have been living in them. They are such a perfect blend of perfection just the right amount of  flare and distress and a mixture of 70s and 90s vibe.WIN!WIN!WIN! When it comes to being comfortable, no jean has your back truly like boyfriend jeans. Loose, cuffed, with just the perfect touch of masculinity—the look works whether you want to keep things ultra-laid back or dressed up.I’ve been a bit under the weather lately therefore sweaters, coats and scarfs have been my jam despite the sun coming out to play hence the decision to marry them to this turtle neck cardigan that I absolutely love(Hi,my name is Rosemary and I’m an addict-oh knits!). I ,however ,can’t wait to style them with more light and airy pieces like tees and off-shoulder tops to really soak in the sun this December! Continue Reading

Tips for healthier skin using lemon

May 31, 2016

It’s no secret…I sort of have a love affair with lemons and I know those close to me would definitely agree because I managed to get them to join my lemonade bandwagon.:-) A little over three years ago I embarked on a journey to make conscious changes in my lifestyle. Drinking lemon water first thing in the morning was one of those changes and it quickly became my go to fix for almost everything from dealing with stomach discomfort, to curing common cold, as an instant sinus remedy (especially), sore throat, heartburn etc. and recently an inexpensive beauty fix! Let’s focus on the beauty part shall we? Continue Reading

So, I never thought I’d ever use a quote by Lil Wayne don’t get me wrong I do like his music but that mostly involves me going like ‘wait, what? you wanna put what where?’ Listening to hip-hop as a woman is such a treat no?
confidence is the stain they can’t wipe off – Lil Wayne Continue Reading

Howdy folks,

As I write this article it’s raining heavily I don’t think this outfit is perfect for this kind of weather but then again it’s a blazer dress so I guess it wouldn’t be so far off right? Its fuchsia embellished with cute gold buttons making it a statement piece so just throw on a trench coat and it will take you from work to formal event and coffee after work. Don’t let the rain dull your sparkle! Continue Reading

Ola! Mon’Amie,

I believe that when it comes wardrobe essentials the classic white button-down shirt automatically earns a spot at the top of the list. It’s the real deal: the true wear anywhere staple. Tuck it in or let it loose; tie it in knots or fashion an expert cuff – you can’t go wrong with this year-round essential. Trends come and go but the versatility of the white button-down is perpetual. Continue Reading

Hola Beautiful People,

“You can never have too many pullovers” words to live by! The cowl neck sweater is perfect for those days where you want to wear a sweater that basically has a built-in circle scarf. It’s also versatile because the split sides and its  light yet warm knit easily creeps into sunny days. Super easy to throw over a pair of jeans or leggings for casual days plus its color blocked so WIN WIN! Whoever says you can’t be both warm and chic on ’em rainy days has not met this sweater! 7 Things Every Woman Should know

April 4, 2016

April was supposed to be different. There are goals I was hoping to have achieved by the beginning of April and that has made the past few days gloom and unbearable and not just because of the rain. I know some goals require a bit more time and patience but I still beat myself up and felt like a complete failure.one thing I have come to learn about myself is that I love being in control and control is the one thing I don’t have; haven’t had for a while now. Remembering that I need to let go and let God (after bawling my eyes out underneath a blanket for three hours and twenty two minutes) was like a silken scarf wrapping around me and receiving an email from a friend on ‘7 things every woman should know’ gave me a much needed jolt of confidence to get up, dress up and show up. I hope it helps you in one way or the other. Continue Reading
