Hey there pretty,
One part sexy, one part formal, that’s the midi dress for you. This is easily one of my favorite trends and a great reminder that sometimes the sexiest outfits are the most simple . If I were to create a signature style I believe a midi dress or skirt would be right up there with a pair of blue jeans. I have learnt over time that with style it is best to stay away from trends and sticking to a signature style is what ultimately stands the test of time. A friend recently asked me how do you dress for surprise?
Happy New Month Loves,
Ain’t you glad that finally the 193,241 days of January are over? Also the rains are here I believe my heart has grown three sizes just between yesterday and today!
I had never considered wearing an off-shoulder top to work until I re-watched ” The Devil Wears Prada ” recently. Andrea spotted it work and though she worked at a fashion magazine I thought it as a fun yet subtle ensemble that you can pull off even at a corporate environment.
So…I love the sunny weather and the sundresses as much as the next girl but honestly am ready for some rain! I am even ready for the whole ‘mudness’ that accompanies rainy days.Granted dressing up in this weather is super easy compared to layering in the cold weather but in this heatwave even jeans feel like torture and there’s only so much sundresses a girl can wear!
Hey there pretty,
Looks like a shirt but acts as a dress – current hero piece in my closet- the shirt dress! Somewhere between hectic scorching days and relaxing evenings, between fashion crushes and can’t be bothered moods they’ve got you. They have this street-chic vibe going on, and there’s also something really sexy about them just keep the fabric light to maintain movement and have fun with your accessories! Its a lot like a pair of jeans-simple enough that your accessories can really create the look.
Hey there sugars,
Confidence is a pretty elusive thing, ey? The one thing I know for sure is that its not everyday I wake up feeling all bubbly and happy ready to take on the world. There are days when all I want to do is stay in bed and wear my blanket all day and unfortunately the way this life is set up you need to get up,dress up and show up no matter how you feel. You have to face the world guns blazing and these are some of the things that do the trick for me when I need that extra boost of confidence.
Fresh starts thanks to the calendar happen every year just set your watch to January 🙂 …our reward for surviving the holiday season is a New Year bringing on the great tradition of new years resolutions put your past behind you and start over…It is hard to resist the chance of a new beginning,a chance to put the problems of last years to bed so as cliche as it may be I believe that whenever the opportunity presents itself for you to pause and re-evaluate your goals and aspirations, you should take it. I try to make mine as fun and as simple as possible I find them easier to accomplish and also the lesser the pressure the higher the chances are that I will accomplish them. Here are my resolutions from 2015 and 2016 in case you need inspiration to make simple lifestyle changes. Lets jump right into 2017 resolutions.
I don’t know why but I have been feeling pretty out of it lately maybe its the holiday effect or the nearing of the New Year and me crushing beneath the weight of my own expectations. Anyway,am postponing the pity party to a later date and instead focusing on how amazing Christmas was, I baked by the way after almost ten years!! I was feeling all Christmas-y and went for something fancy “chocolate crepe cake” Martha Stewart would have been proud!
I just realised that until a few weeks ago I didn’t have a single baby blue outfit not a top, sweater, dress nothing!I was shocked seeing as I do not exactly have a favorite color and my closet is literally a rainbow but I had somehow managed to stay away from this hue which I think is beautiful and have nothing against it! However I tend to gravitate towards colours that flatter my complexion such as oranges, reds, golden yellow, amber, olive green and mustard. And,that could have easily influenced my unconscious decision to stay away from it but after I got this jumpsuit there have been a couple of baby blue additions in my wardrobe!
I joined the dungaree bandwagon here’s why…
1.They look good on other people I could lie but…
2.I don’t look like an giant toddler as I initially feared…okay maybe just a tiny little bit but hey..
3. Nothing says 90s better than a pair of throwback denim dungaree especially when teamed with an off shoulder top and a pair of oldskool converse!
Well heya pretty!
Keeping it short and sweet in today’s post because honestly my mind is already on Christmas break.
Also can you believe that we are only three weeks away from 2017? Do we even still have 24hours a day anymore?
I intended to post this look a while back as an alternative way to spot this skirt when I did this post but I lost the files till a few days back when they magically re-appeared like ‘hey we heard you were looking for us’. This was a look that would pass as both formal and casual depending on your mood/day. I paired it with black sleeveless high neck top and a blazer which formalizes any outfit.
