1.What is your favorite Christmas movie?
Home Alone! It brings me so many childhood memories.
- Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
I have really loved the ruffle detailing at the hemline this year (see this) it adds such a fun flare to any outfit and instantly makes the skirt or dress as in this case much more outstanding. I feel oh so sexy in this number the vertical stripes make me look lean and taller and like I’ve got legs for days.I have been skeptical about wearing drop waistline dresses especially if its form fitting so to be honest the vertical stripes really helped in making it easier.
welcome to day 2 of my 12 days of Christmas!!
If I had my way I would spend Christmas by the beach side getting some much needed Vitamin Sea. It has been a long tough year coming to terms with life changes that come with no warning and even tougher facing the person I have become as a result and whether or not I like that person? Verdict: not so much! Hence the much needed Vitamin Sea. I spent most of my childhood at the coast (watamu to be precise)and every time I would go there as an adult I find so much peace and serenity. Not sure whether it’s the childhood memories or the beach but it always feels like coming home every time. If wishes were horses….
Happy Jamhuri Day lovelies! And happy day 1 of blog-mas!!❤?
I don’t know if it’s too late to jump on this blog-mas/vlog-mas craze but I have joined the bandwagon. In the spirit of Christmas I have decided to bring a little Christmas cheer over here with 12days of Christmas which means I will try and put up a post daily (except the weekends) up until Christmas day. I hope you like it.
Hey Hey Lovelies!
One of my styling tips when it comes to prints or graphic tees is to style around the statement piece! Case in point: this graphic tee that is simple but makes quite the statement all the same. The writing on the t-shirt is in mustard, my favorite color of all time, so styling it was a no brainer since I have so many things in that color.
Happy new Month Lovelies!!!
There is just something about this month that always makes my heart grow three times over! I have been practicing hygge (pronounced hue-guh) so glad I finally found the word that expresses my weirdness. My friends and family call it that because I get overly excited over small things their words not mine! This year, for the most part, I have become much more appreciative of the little things in life that I had always taken for granted.
Sometimes what is standing between us and achieving our dreams is ourselves. The lies that we tell ourselves on a daily basis play a big role on who we are. They make us a little blind to our own amazing capabilities. They bruise our self esteem, crush our self confidence and leave us looking for it everywhere except the very place that we will find it: within ourselves. They create new doubts in our minds and new fears out of thin air. With this in mind I have decided to change the narrative in my head and the big little lies I have continuously allowed to hold me back from being the very best version of myself.
So, a couple of weeks ago I shared a green smoothie video on my Instagram stories and I got a lot of questions about the recipe ok not A LOT a little over five people wanted to know the recipe and that to me qualifies as a lot LOL. Anyway, I decided to do a post on the recipe not only because of that but also because of how simple the recipe is. It is so simple that my initial thought when I came across it on Instagram was, that can’t be right and if it is, it must taste like crap! It required just three ingredients: spinach, orange juice and bananas!
Happy New Month Guys,
Whenever I think of dungarees what comes to mind is, it’s going to be a lax and easy going kinda day. The t-shirt and flats kind of casual (see here) which works effortlessly with this statement piece. However that’s not to say that every once in a while we cannot push its boundaries out of the comfort area into the more dressed up style.
I am really loving the direction fashion is taking when it comes to tops from the bell sleeves to the off-shoulder shirts and loud prints and I am here for it, ALL OF IT! I always wear pretty basic pants so I like my tops dramatic and I am often always on the hunt for statement tops. I have been particularly loving the idea of wearing your classic button down shirt casually as an off-shoulder top where you unbutton it and drape off the shoulder you want to expose and you can either tie it at the front or leave it.
