Happy New Month Loves,
Ain’t you glad that finally the 193,241 days of January are over? Also the rains are here I believe my heart has grown three sizes just between yesterday and today!
I had never considered wearing an off-shoulder top to work until I re-watched ” The Devil Wears Prada ” recently. Andrea spotted it work and though she worked at a fashion magazine I thought it as a fun yet subtle ensemble that you can pull off even at a corporate environment.
Well heya pretty!
Keeping it short and sweet in today’s post because honestly my mind is already on Christmas break.
Also can you believe that we are only three weeks away from 2017? Do we even still have 24hours a day anymore?
I intended to post this look a while back as an alternative way to spot this skirt when I did this post but I lost the files till a few days back when they magically re-appeared like ‘hey we heard you were looking for us’. This was a look that would pass as both formal and casual depending on your mood/day. I paired it with black sleeveless high neck top and a blazer which formalizes any outfit.

I believe that when it comes wardrobe essentials the classic white button-down shirt automatically earns a spot at the top of the list. It’s the real deal: the true wear anywhere staple. Tuck it in or let it loose; tie it in knots or fashion an expert cuff – you can’t go wrong with this year-round essential. Trends come and go but the versatility of the white button-down is perpetual.
1. Color blocking to work is daring bonus points if you color block and throw a geo print in the mix!
2. Oversize blazers are real wardrobe heroes especially in this cold weather more so if they are in cobalt blue:-).
3. The contemporary geometric print means that this skirt will look effortlessly stylish dressed up or down.
When I acquired this little teal number I was finally convinced that I could live in pencil skirts for the rest of my life! There is just something about pencil skirts that give my confidence a noticeable boost and I am pretty sure I’m not the only one!
Hi guys, how you doing?
Today is a case of a two in one wardrobe essential. The trench coat. This being part of the work wear edition series the goal is to have an important outerwear piece that is mid-weight to keep me comfortable without sweating through the cold mornings.
In preparation of the next chapter in my life, I have been trying to develop a work wear capsule wardrobe, on a shoe string budget, that will really work. I believe you do not need a huge work wardrobe to have a great office style so I have been focusing on getting and adding a few essential office wear staples that with a little mixing and matching will serve me well as I slowly create a perfect professional closet.
