Fresh starts thanks to the calendar happen every year just set your watch to January 🙂 …our reward for surviving the holiday season is a New Year bringing on the great tradition of new years resolutions put your past behind you and start over…It is hard to resist the chance of a new beginning,a chance to put the problems of last years to bed so as cliche as it may be I believe that whenever the opportunity presents itself for you to pause and re-evaluate your goals and aspirations, you should take it. I try to make mine as fun and as simple as possible I find them easier to accomplish and also the lesser the pressure the higher the chances are that I will accomplish them. Here are my resolutions from 2015 and 2016 in case you need inspiration to make simple lifestyle changes. Lets jump right into 2017 resolutions.
My new years resolution is that donuts are good for me.Dream with me folks.
Figure out what kind of wine I like its getting increasingly embarrassing to say ‘any good wine’ I used to think its smart but now not so much.
Run a marathon – or two. Probably the annual diabetes walk which is very close to my heart.
Watch more classic movies and shows. I started watching them late last year ‘pretty woman‘ being one of my favorites thus far.Feels refreshing to give conspiracy theories and terrorist plots a break from time to time.
Bake More – found this fun new classes once a week in my local church but I am yet to join.
Improve my cooking skills – I intend to learn at least a weeks worth of new recipes and with no.5 in mind that shouldn’t be a problem.
Yes to more bike rides – kills two birds with one stone have fun and lose some kilos while at it.
Try and buy myself flowers every month ‘try’ being the operative word here – self love my friend plus I really love flowers.
Pull an all-nighter.The partying kind. Rosemary is that girl you know the party pooper who is tired, whiny and sleepy by 10pm but lets see how that goes.
Indulge my new found obsession pot-plants! especially succulent plants. *Insert heart eyes emoji*
Be less perfect – wrap my head around the fact that no one is perfect and I should quit trying to be.
‘perfection is the disease of a nation it’s my soul that needs a surgery’ – Beyonce
I have champagne taste with coca-cola money – one thing has to change and am pretty sure it has nothing to do with my Jeep or Chanel handbags. More hustle perhaps?
Less juice cleanse and more digital detox. Because when you look around this life is pretty amazing!
Smile in the mirror – as silly as it sounds giving myself a nice big smile in the mirror at least once a day puts me in a really good mood.
Declutter my closet…this I don’t even know where to begin. The dilemma of a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear every morning is getting old.
Avoid being an avoider 🙂 – I live my life under a banner of avoidance – I am an avoider- especially of things that make me uncomfortable and a lot of things make me uncomfortable.
Set myself a professional goal and do everything in my power to make it happen.
Create an evening ritual that helps me wind down at the end of the day.
Exercise…pretty sure you saw that one coming.
Finally, get out and make them hate your confidence, beauty and Intelligence and they will. < 3
